I am a mixed media artist based in Wiltshire, UK. My studio is my “aspirational shed”- a potting shed which I have named, obviously, Shedio. My favourite way to spend my time is creating colourful nature inspired collages and mixed media work, surrounded by the wild that is my garden. I am greatly inspired by the writings of Victorian nature writer Richard Jefferies, and often use his words as titles for my work. I am lucky to volunteer at his birthplace, now The Richard Jefferies Museum at Coate, Swindon.

My collages involve a variety of papers; tissue, mulberry, teabag and so on, often hand painted, written or hand printed, applied cut or torn in many layers, to achieve a luminosity and vibrancy of colour. Since the natural world is made up of numerous tiny pieces of life, my art builds environments from tiny pieces of paper.

I have a BA in art history, and an HND in Illustration.
