Artist Profile

Lucy Dunnett

Medium: Painting

Lucy loves painting the natural world – especially mountains which really suit her bold graphic style. After graduating from Falmouth College of Arts in 2002, she headed to the Alps where she honed her style, painting mountain landscapes and ‘poster style’ paintings of the resort of Verbier, where she lived.

Since moving back to the UK in 2014, Lucy’s focus has been on family life, but she has continued to paint in her snippets of free time, painting many of the beautiful scenes around the Bath area. Never straying far without a camera in her hand, Lucy’s paintings are always inspired by her own photographs, and so reflect her own travels and experiences. Fascinated by how changes in light can completely transform a scene, she enjoys revisiting the same landscape during different weather, seasons and times of day.

With her youngest daughter now in school, Lucy is back to work and looking forward to creating many new works of art – to be shown exclusively here at the BCAF.  She will be on her stand in May, June, October, November and December this year.
