Louise Collis is a Plein Air landscape painter based in Wales.

‘Originally from the South Wales Valleys, my love of painting was always going to mean a creative path for me. I graduated from Bath Spa University in 1998 with a degree in Graphic Design and Illustration.

After moving back to Wales I worked as an exhibition designer before rediscovering my love of landscape painting and exploring oil paints.

I now work full time as a landscape artist, I paint everyday, usually outdoors ‘en plein air’ or from my open studio in Abergavenny. I take my painting kit everywhere and can often be found sat on a hillside or cliff painting on a sunny day or inside my car/studio on a rainy day. I also paint floral still lives at home when I’m not able to get outdoors to paint.
