Profile

As a relatively new artist I am heavily influenced by my work as an Archaeologist, with a particular interest in Landscapes. I have studied at the Bath City College and Bath Artists Studios, and taken specialist painting courses at Newlyn and St Ives Art schools. I have spent many months living in Rome which has also been a big inspiration. I work in a variety of media, often mixing watercolour, gouache and charcoal, or using acrylic and oil. I tend to rove between different genres and experiment with new techniques, sometimes developing a more abstract style to express something such as my experiences in Rome, or other places which interest me.
