Vibrant | Contemporary | Celebratory

Lovingly painted in her Somerset studio, artist Kate Field has a wide range of natural subjects painted boldly through her lens.
Bright vivid hues are used to celebrate animals, landscapes and Somerset scenes.

A passion for connecting the subject with their surroundings, Kate distorts the boundaries between animals and their bold coloured backgrounds leaving viewers asking where the subject begins and the backgrounds finishes. Kate has always been fascinated in creating large striking pieces, leaving viewers stunned by the use of pink, bright blues and other powerful colours.

From custom pet portraits, to commissioned large pieces, Kate works with her clients to build layers telling a story of the subject.
Movement and texture play a key role in each piece, leaving the impression that her paintings were painted with great speed and motion.
