Artist Profile
Eve Humber
Having travelled extensively throughout my life and being somewhat of a late bloomer, I began a Fine Art degree in Aberdeen, Scotland — a decision that marked a significant and deeply rewarding turning point.
Like many creatives, I have explored and worked across a variety of mediums, with printmaking forming the foundation that underpins much of my practice. Combined with collage, my current pieces embrace vibrant colour and a sense of lightness and play. I am drawn to the way these materials interact — layering, preserving, revealing — creating surfaces that invite closer inspection. My aim is not only to capture the eye, but to evoke feeling: joy, melancholy, contemplation, and the subtle stirring of memory.
I have exhibited my work in Scotland and throughout Canada, my country of origin. BCAF marks my first exhibition in England, and I look forward to many more opportunities to share my work here in the future.
