Artist Profile

Christopher Perry

Medium: Pastel

Profile

Chris Perry is a British fine artist working primarily in soft pastel, creating expressive, atmospheric works that explore light and form. His work has been selected for leading London exhibitions including the Royal British Artists (RBA), three consecutive Pastel Society shows at the Mall Galleries — where he was awarded the Pastel Society Catalogue Award 2025  Second Prize — as well as exhibitions with the Royal Society of Marine Artists (RSMA), the Society of Wildlife Artists (SWLA), Boomer Gallery at Tower Bridge, and the London Art Biennale in Chelsea. Chris builds his paintings from dark to light through bold mark-making, prioritising value and atmosphere over strict realism, while allowing each composition to evolve intuitively.
