Artist Profile
Anna Perra & Tony Church
Anna Perra was born in Rome, Italy and she lived in UK since 1996. She is a self taught artist with a background in Fashion Design and Personal Styling. Her passion for creativity and design led her to believe she could paint her own design, to eventually transfer her art onto fabric. Soon her passion for painting overrode her initial intention.
She considers art a freeing of one self expression. A place of no limitations, where everything is possible. A way to communicate to others her love for life, nature and people.
Her inspiration comes from nature, places she visit, past and contemporary artists. Learning by herself she developed different techniques and skills.
Tony Church is a Somerset Artist graduating with a specialism in printmaking from the University of Wales
Institute in Cardiff. I studied fine art at the University of Wales in Cardiff, specialising in Printmaking.
I am deeply fascinated with forms and colours, the very foundation of everything around us.
It is this subject matter and a response in the same basic realm within, by stripping art to the basic elements
of form and colour, we eliminate the pressure to decipher a painting, allowing us to engage with a childlike
fascination.
The viewers engage with the curiosity of a child from the images presented to them.
