Ali Cockrean is an expressionist artist.  She seeks to capture something of the fleeting nature of our relationship with our landscape.  Not just the physical forms of land and sea, but also the air that circulates around them, creating ever changing energy and atmosphere.  Each artwork is a small unique snapshot of the beautiful impermanence of the natural world, and a reminder of how passionately we should strive to protect it.

Ali’s work appears in collections across the world, including Europe, Hong Kong, US and Canada.  Her career has been boosted by significant private commissions and a plethora of successful shows in London (Cork Street, The Mall Galleries, Mayfair, The Strand and Notting Hill) and regional galleries (Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire, Surrey, Staffordshire, West Midlands, Bristol, Wiltshire, Dorset, Cornwall and Wales).  She has also featured on BBC TV and radio, most notably in 2012 when she was commissioned by BBC1 to paint the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee River Pageant live from the Millennium Bridge.
