Green Patina, Golden Light

Green patina, Golden Light captures the timeless essence of Buddha’s wisdom and serenity.

This A4 pastel artwork presents a bronze Buddha head, gracefully aged with a green patina, emerging from the shadows into a gentle golden glow. The addition of a radiant red jewelled bindhi adds a touch of sacred vibrancy, drawing the viewer’s gaze to Buddha’s quiet strength.

This artwork reflects my lifelong admiration for Buddha as a symbol of love, wisdom and kindness.

From an early age, I was drawn to his peaceful expression and the depth it conveyed. Decades later, my journey through Buddhism and art has intertwined, with the piece embodying my exploration of spirituality, personal growth and resilience.

As an untrained artist, I embrace the instinctive approach to creating.

Using pastels, with all their messy yet magical qualities, I started with a simple image and intuitively brought it to life. The final result exceeded even my own expectations demonstrating the power of creative spontaneity and devotion to the subject.

This piece is perfect for spiritual seekers, art collectors, and wellness enthusiasts.

It inspires a sense of tranquility, reflection, and enlightenment, making it an ideal addition to meditation spaces, calm corners, or home that cherish meaningful art.
