Collage on board (wood blocks, comic book panels, text from Homer’s Odyssey, ink, and acrylic paint)

The text used in this piece is from Homer’s Odyssey from which
parallels can be drawn between the titular character, Odysseus, and the
comic book character of Iron Man.

Odysseus is the classic hero, who has influenced the western idea of
the hero. Like Odysseus, Iron Man has no superpowers, relying instead on
his skill and intellect to win his battles. Additionally, both
characters embody loyalty, leadership, strength, and courage and are
characterised as being sensual, handsome, and determined.
